Understanding Success Rates

Under the direction of Dr. John Frattarelli, the IVF program at the Fertility Institute of Hawaii attributes its success to a variety of factors including the experience and dedication of our physician and laboratory teams, individualized IVF protocols and treatments, laboratory conditions and techniques, the use of breakthrough technologies and research.

SART is the primary organization of professionals dedicated to the practice of Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) in the United States. ART includes the practice of In Vitro Fertilization (IVF). The mission of their organization is to set and help maintain the standards for ART in an effort to better serve their members and patients. Success rates from the various programs across the country can be located on the SART website. Please note: a comparison of clinic success rates may not be meaningful because a patient medical characteristics, treatment approaches and entrance criteria for ART may vary from clinic to clinic.

Rates of Multiple Pregnancies

Multiple pregnancies are confirmed by the number of fetal heartbeats on ultrasound. At the Fertility Institute of Hawaii, we strive to have the lowest high-order multiple rate possible as this represents a complex pregnancy and delivery for both the mother and babies. We are very proud to have excellent pregnancy rates with very low multiple rates. This is accomplished by having an excellent lab and a personal conference with each patient on the day of embryo transfer.
